Short answer: Meta One business plans start at $14.99 a month for Essential and go up to $499 a month for Max. Essential gives you a verified badge, impersonation protection and more Meta Business Agent replies on WhatsApp. Advanced, from $49.99, adds story scheduling, links in organic posts and team access. Only pay if the feature you are missing costs you more each month than the fee.
What Meta One includes for businesses
Meta announced Meta One on September 15, 2026. It is a subscription that covers Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Meta AI. Creators and businesses can choose from four bundles. The table below lists only what Meta has confirmed in the official announcement.
| Tier | Price from | What Meta lists | Worth checking if |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | $14.99/month | More access to Meta Business Agent on WhatsApp for 24/7 replies, verified badge, verified channel on the WhatsApp Business app, impersonation protection | Customers message you on WhatsApp outside working hours, or fake profiles copy your brand |
| Advanced | $49.99/month | Everything in Essential, plus scheduling stories up to 30 days ahead, links in organic posts and reels, team access without sharing your password | Several people publish for you and organic posts send traffic to your shop |
| Expert | $149/month | No details I can confirm beyond the price | Only after you get the full feature list for your region in writing |
| Max | $499/month | No details I can confirm beyond the price | Same as Expert: ask for the list before you pay |
Meta also says that plans, benefits, pricing and availability may vary by region, by app and by account. What you see in Slovakia, Czechia or Germany may not match the announcement. Check the offer inside your own account before you put it in the budget.
Is Meta One an advertising product?
No, and this matters for how you judge it. Everything Meta lists is about verification, WhatsApp replies, organic publishing and team access. None of it is a targeting, bidding or reporting feature for Meta Ads.
So keep it out of your ad budget and treat it as a software subscription. If your campaigns are not profitable, a verified badge will not change your ROAS (return on ad spend, revenue divided by ad spend) or your CPA (cost per acquisition). Those problems sit in the offer, the creative, the tracking or the website. That is the work I do in Meta Ads management for Facebook and Instagram.
How to check whether a tier pays for itself
Use the same logic I use to find wasted spend in Google Ads search terms. Every euro has to point to a result you can measure.
- Name one problem. For example: “WhatsApp messages sent after 18:00 wait until the next morning.” If you cannot name a problem, you do not need the plan.
- Put a monthly cost on it. How many enquiries or orders do you lose to that problem? Estimate it from your own inbox, not from a gut feeling.
- Calculate break-even. Monthly fee divided by gross profit per order (or per closed lead). That is how many extra sales the plan has to bring each month.
- Check the real price. The announcement gives prices in dollars. Look at what your account charges in your currency, and whether VAT is added on top.
- Set a review date. Put a date 30 days out in your calendar. If you cannot show the extra sales by then, cancel.
Illustrative example: say Essential ends up costing you €15 a month after conversion and tax, and your gross profit per order is €20. One extra order a month covers it. Now say Advanced costs you €50: you need three extra orders. At these tiers the bar is low. The hard part is proving the result, not reaching it.
How to measure it
- Links in organic posts (Advanced): add UTM parameters (tags at the end of a URL that tell analytics where a visit came from) to every link. Then GA4 (Google Analytics 4) shows you orders from organic posts as their own source.
- WhatsApp agent (Essential): each week, count the conversations that started outside working hours and how many ended in an order or a booking.
- Impersonation protection: track how many customers complain about fake profiles before and after. If nobody ever did, this benefit is worth little to you.
Which tier fits which business
Essential makes sense when WhatsApp is a real sales channel: bookings, product questions before a purchase, delivery questions. It also makes sense for brands that already deal with fake shops or cloned profiles using their name.
Advanced fits businesses that publish a lot organically, where more than one person touches the account, and where organic posts are meant to drive traffic to the website.
Expert and Max are priced at $149 and $499. I cannot confirm what these tiers add, so do not buy them because of the name. Ask what exactly is included for your region and account, and run the same break-even maths.
What I see in the accounts I run
The most common leak I find in lead-generation accounts is not in the ad auction. It is in the gap between a message and the reply. The dental clinic I worked with got 943 leads at €0.30 each. A lead that cheap only pays off if someone answers it while the person is still interested.
That is why the WhatsApp part of Essential is the only benefit I would test first for a service business. Test it only if WhatsApp is already where your customers write, and read a sample of the agent’s answers every week. An automated reply that gives a wrong price or wrong opening hours costs you more than a slow reply.
On team access: I run every campaign inside the client’s own accounts, and I get access through roles in the client’s business setup, never through a shared password. Before you pay for team access in Advanced, check whether assigning roles already solves your problem.
Most common mistakes with Meta One
- Expecting cheaper ads. Nothing in Meta’s list says a subscription changes ad delivery or costs.
- Paying for WhatsApp replies with no WhatsApp traffic. If customers email or call you, the agent has nothing to answer.
- Buying Advanced just for scheduling when you post twice a month.
- Upgrading to Expert or Max without a written feature list for your region.
- Never reviewing the result. A €15 subscription nobody checks is still wasted money after a year.
What to do first
Open the Meta One offer in your own account and write down the local price and the benefits you actually see. Pick one problem, calculate break-even, and test the cheapest tier that solves it for 30 days with measurement in place.
